About CEAI Consulting Engineers Association of India (CEAI) is the noon soul of Consulting Engineers in India. CEAI represents the Indian Engineering Consultancy professional at the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC). By virtue of tie-up of the two erstwhile professional persons of consulting engineers, Association of Consulting Engineers (ACE) and National Association of Consulting Engineers (NACE) in to CEAI in the year 1996, CEAI has, overdue it, over 50 years of piled knowledge and experience. CEAI Membership comprises of practicing consultants, private and public sector firms engaged in the unshortened range of engineering consultancy services. CEAI looks without the interests and enhances the status of consulting engineering profession in India and is equally concerned with quality development, productivity enhancement and promotion of upstanding practices. …Read increasingly UPCOMING EVENTS Date/Time Event 10/10/2018 6:30 pm Lecture on "Interlinking of Rivers & Management of Water Resources" India International Centre, New Delhi President’s Message Dear Members, CEAI is for the first time trying to ‘build up’ the profile of the Engineer, and highlight his/ her contribution to Society. It is, therefore, collaborating with the prestigious India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi, to jointly organize a CEAI-IIC lecture series comprising six lectures on ‘Engineer and the Society’. It was encouraging that the first lecture in this series had a full house and an interested audience. The lectures will protract every month till January 2019. CEAI is organizing a two day unshut FIDIC Training Course on “Practical Use of FIDIC Conditions of Contract” on 28th & 29th September 2018 at Raunaq Room, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi. Since FIDIC has issued the revised version of the red, yellow and silver books in 2017, this training program will include a comparison of the clauses relevant to the training module wrt the 1999 version. All members are invited to nominate delegates for this Training program. CEAI has been interacting with the Ministry of Commerce since 01 February 2018. The interactions have been positive with the Ministry like-minded to support CEAI and have made various suggestions on  addressing CEAI  concerns. Members would be enlightened that at the initiative of the Ministry of Commerce, a list of twelve service sectors have been identified as Champion Sectors. This list was released by the President of India. It is important to note that ‘Construction and related engineering services’ is one of such identified sectors, relevant to Consultancy. For these identified Sectors the BIS is forming sectoral committees to taking up the process of standardization. CEAI will protract the process of dialogue, and cooperate both with BIS and the Ministry of Commerce, to take up matters of snooping with them. Suggestions are welcome from all members on the consulting fraternity. S Philip SEMINAR ON ‘RIVER ACTION PLAN, FLOOD MANAGEMENT AND BASIN DEVELOPMENT’ CEAI successfully organised a Seminar on ‘River Action Plan, Flood Management and Basin Development’ on 27th & 28th July 2018 at Shangri-La’s Eros Hotel, 19 Ashoka Road, Connaught Place, New Delhi 110001.  The seminar was attended by virtually 150 delegates engineers from various Government. Departments/ Public Sector Firms/ Consulting firms/ Contracting companies/ engineering institutions/ etc..
